Today's Scripture
“I sent the hornet ahead of you, which drove them out before you—also the two Amorite kings. You did not do it with your own sword and bow. So I gave you a land on which you did not toil and cities you did not build.” ~(Joshua 24:12–13, NIV)
The Israelites were up against several nations that were much bigger, stronger, and trained for war. They didn’t stand a chance on their own. So did God send in an army of angels to get rid of these powerful armies? No, He sent hornets ahead of the Israelites so they didn’t even have to fight. When you don’t see how your situation can work out, don’t worry. God has plenty of hornets. He has ways you’ve never thought of. Quit trying to figure it out and trust Him. He’s in control of your life. He knows how to get you to where you’re supposed to be.
God is going ahead of you. Quit worrying, quit losing sleep. Put down your sword and shield. He’s going to give you land that you didn’t work for. You’re not going to have to struggle, manipulate people, or try to force it to happen. He’s going to drive out the inhabitants that are on your land.
